About Us
Tamil School Of Central Florida (TSCF) is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization in the state of Florida with the mission to provide Tamil education and related activities pursuant to the guidelines of United States Internal Revenue Code, Title 26 of the U.S. Code, § 501 (c)(3).
TSCF was founded on Oct2nd, 2017, with a sole mission about teaching children to read, write and speak Tamil and preserving this ancient language for generations to come.
HSCF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to continuing education for children and adults.
Tamil School was founded by a handful of dedicated Tamil families with a vision to teach our language and culture to our next generation.Tamil School has played a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Tamil community. It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the continuation of our efforts to foster the Tamil language and cultural values within the community.
Affiliation and Accreditation
Tamil School Of Central Florida (TSCF) is affiliated with the American Tamil Academy (ATA) Not only does ATA focus on teaching children how to read, write and speak Tamil, but they also encourage cultural activities such as singing, dancing and drama that are based on Tamil language and culture. We are also in the process of getting accredited from ATA.
Venue & Timings
TSCF teaches grades from Mazhalai to Nilai 8. Classes are scheduled between 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm every Sunday at this location:
We conduct 1 and half an hour of language class and 30 minutes of activity-based sessions. Kids will be given a choice to choose activities based on their interest. Our activity classes are focused on Leadership, Chess, Arts, Silambam, Dance, Singing, Bommalattam, Tamil Theni and Kural Theni
We follow Seminole county school calendar. Class schedules, holidays and reminders to these classes are sent
via email and TSCF WhatsApp group.
Events
Every year TSCF organizes 2 major events:
Sangey Muzhangu
Sangey Muzhangu Program, a fun-filled Tamil competition held by our School for our kids, where every kid wins the title.
Graduation Ceremony
Graduation Ceremony, where all kids are awarded their degree completion certificates from ATA. Kids are given the Graduation gowns and caps at school cost and participate in the Graduation Parade.
In addition to the above our school kids also participate in Muthamizh Sangam OF Central Florida (MSCF) yearly cultural events such as Tamil New Year and Diwali Programs.
